At Baby Tula, our favorite phrase of “Keep Doing What You Love” extends beyond a goal for the families that use our carriers. It also represents a core value of our business practices and development. We put a conscious effort into making sure our products are produced with love and care, paying special attention to the quality and beauty of each item. With our newest baby essential, Tula Baby Blankets, we wanted to not only produce a popular baby item but we thought about how they were going to be made and who we would be making them with. We are so proud of the excitement for our Tula Baby Blankets. Not just because we love making items that you enjoy, but also because we know of the delicate time and energy that is put into creating them. As we continue to strive for higher standards to create the most beautiful and most comfortable essentials, we found a perfect factory willing to push beyond the ordinary and reach new creativity levels.
When looking for where we would be producing our Tula Baby Blankets, we looked for a mill that would perfectly blend our desire for high quality, innovative techniques, and being a conscious, caring business. The Polish, family-owned factory that produces our Tula Baby Blankets understood and shared many of our values and drive for excellence. Producing textiles designed to cuddle infants and children required that they meet very rigorous standards for weaving, dyeing, printing and finishing.
All of fabrics used at the mill comply to very strict Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Certificate. Every Tula Baby Blanket that is made with viscose, from bamboo, has passed standards allowing it to even be used for medical products. This luxuriously soft fabric is breathable while having a substantial thickness. Our Baby Blankets have a GSM of 180g/m2 allowing for a pillowy, porous softness unique to our blankets. The dyes used for coloring the blanket fabric are ecological and completely safe, while allowing for limitless combinations of colors and shading.
This mill stood out to us because of their evolving abilities to combine our creative ideas with superior processes. Due to an advanced printing method, they have the capability to create intricately detailed designs on the blankets, including text, which requires very accurate methods. This printing method is revolutionary and this mill is one of the first European companies to be using it to print on soft fabric.
The jacquard woven fabric, used for Tula Baby Blankets, are very advanced and highly specialized looms allow the factory to weave very intricate designs and create compositions for which the only limit is the human imagination. Their unique abilities, when combined with our creativity, allowed us to discover how boundless the possibilities were!
Among their strong, ethical business practices, this factory has under 100 employees, with over half of the employees having special needs. The owner of the mill has always wanted to encourage people with mental and physical disabilities to accomplish professional goals. When she established her company, she made a commitment to connect her passion for making the softest fabrics possible with providing opportunities for adults with special needs. This wonderful company also regularly donates their products to hospitals, child-care facilities, and many charity organizations.
For these many outstanding reasons, we could not be happier with the factory we work with to make our Tula Baby Blankets. Knowing that they are pushing beyond the standards to manufacture excellent products and have incredible people working for them, deeply personalizes the effort that goes into each Tula Baby Blanket we offer. They are made with extreme attention to details, quality, and beauty because they are surrounded by love and comfort that is expressed in every thread. Our dedication to quality materials and business practices ensures that our products take time to make and are worthy of being cuddled next to you and your child.
