Baby Carrier Instructions - How To Use Your Baby Carrier
Please read the instructions below prior to using the carrier.
Infants or newborns more than 15 lbs (7 kg) must continue using the Tula Infant Insert (sold separately) with the Tula Ergonomic Carrier until the baby can hold his/her head up consistently for extended periods of time and is tall enough to be placed in a fully seated position with knees dangling freely at a right angle. Baby Tula Ring Slings are also a great option for small babies.
We do not recommend back carrying your child until 12 months, or until baby has strong and consistent head, neck, and torso control, and can push him or herself independently into, and remain in, a seated position on a consistent basis.
The Tula Ergonomic Carrier is designed to fit most wearers, from petite to plus size. The Tula has a waistband with approximately 28 inches of padding and 29-32 inches of webbing for a total waist band of approximately 57 inches. We also have shoulder straps that extend on both sides at the top and bottom of each strap, which allows for perfect customization of the fit around the chest. We have received lots of feedback from Moms and Dads of all sizes who love the fit of this carrier.
