FAQs
At what age or weight should I increase to the middle or wide setting of the Kid Baby Carrier?

The look and feel of the Kid Toddler Carrier are very comparable to our Original Carrier.

You will get the same great fit as in the Original Carrier, but with a bigger child and bigger carrier for more years of wearing.

A child should be from 2 years to 6 years old and between 25 - 60 pounds (beginning when the child is a minimum 32 inches tall) versus for the Original Carrier, the baby can be from newborn to 4 years olds and between 7-45 pounds.

Additionally, the Kid Toddler Carrier has some constructional changes that, while not noticeable, provide added strength and durability to support children in the carrier.
Can my baby face forward in the Kid Carrier?

Kid carriers are not designed for your child to be worn in an outward-facing position.
Is the Kid Carrier the same as the Toddler Carrier?

Yes! It is the same carrier under a new name.
Is this replacing the Toddler Carrier?

Yes. The Kid Carrier replaces the Toddler Carrier name.
What positions can baby be worn in the Kid Carrier?

The Kid Carrier is designed to be worn with baby in forward facing and back carry positions.

When can I back carry my baby in the Kid Carrier?

We always advocate for young infants to be visible and kissable in our carriers.

Your baby needs to be able to fit in the Kid Carrier without the need of the Infant Insert to be able to back carry.

We recommend waiting to back carry your child until they have consistent head and neck control to both position them on your back and for them not to slump into a chin to chest position.

Your chest in a young infant’s natural habitat. Take in all those oxytocin snuggles with baby right under your nose. It certainly doesn’t last long. <3
When can I face my baby outward in the Kid Carrier?

Kid carriers are not designed for your child to be worn in an outward-facing position.
