How long can I use my Tula Baby Carrier?

How Long Will My Tula Baby Carrier Last?

Do you have a Tula Baby Carrier? Are you wondering if or when you should transition to a Tula Toddler Carrier?

Tula Baby Carriers are designed to provide a comfortable, ergonomic way to carry your little one through the baby stage and into toddlerhood from 7-45lbs. While the Tula Toddler Carrier has a recommended weight range of 25–60 pounds, reaching 25 pounds does not necessarily mean it is time to make the switch.

You can continue enjoying your Tula Baby Carrier as long as you and your little one are comfortable and your child continues to fit properly in the carrier. You may want to consider transitioning to the Tula Toddler Carrier when your child begins to outgrow the panel or when either you or your child is no longer comfortable in your current carrier.

To help guide you through the transition, we outlined some tips on getting the most out of your Tula Baby Carrier and knowing when it may be time to move into a Tula Toddler Carrier.

Here are some helpful tips for getting the most comfortable fit from your Tula Baby Carrier:

  1. The top of the carrier should reach at least to the top of your baby or toddler’s shoulder blades.

  2. Until at least 1 year old, the panel width of the carrier should provide support from knee to knee.

  3. Your baby or toddler’s legs should remain in an ergonomic M-shaped position, with their knees higher than their bottom.

  4. If you are broader through the shoulders, adjust the Perfect Fit Adjusters (PFAs), if available on your carrier, so the padded shoulder straps sit comfortably.

  5. Most importantly, both the wearer and child should feel comfortable and properly supported while using the carrier.

Baby Tula also offers complimentary Video Fit Checks if you have any questions about the fit or adjustment of your carrier!
