Sometimes hikes don’t go as planned and if there is one thing I’ve learned about hiking with toddlers is not to get worked up about it.
It wouldn’t be good if everyone was rolling around on the ground with there big feelings.
For times like this I’m so happy we’ve thrown a carrier in our backpack.
Not only does tossing toddles on Daddy’s back help regulate his big feelings it gets us back to the vehicle quicker which is helpful in the winter.
We are loving our preschool size carrier from babytula which can be used up to 70lbs.

Thank goodness for my Tula!! Went on a walk with my 2.5 year old and of course “his legs hurt from walking” so thankfully I had my Tula on me and ready to go. Happy Birthday, Margaret!
My baby is 4 today. We celebrated with pasta and the Crayola shop again today. Those are both her favorite.
I’m happy to have our babytula preschool carrier to continue our baby wearing because we have retired our beloved handwoven toddler tula.
We will get at least another 1-2 years out of the preschool size carrier before our wearing days come to an end. Making an effort to record as often as I can because one day she will outgrow it or tell me she doesn’t want to be worn anymore❤️🔥

Big kid fun today!
This is a sped up video of how I do a ruck CCCB with a bigger child. I put the wrap in the right place on his back, and then he climbs up and I use the top rail to lift him up at the same time. It's even easier if he starts standing on a chair or something similar.
I also tried out the Tula preschool carrier for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised that it still comfortably fits this almost 7 year old! Definitely one to try if you want a big kid buckle carrier.
