7 weeks for little Leo now and we had a fab (albeit hectic) weekend in Wexford at the lalecheleagueofireland conference ❤️
It was so lovely to meet old and new friends (and family!) and to connect with lots of like-minded mums!

Canadian mamas, let’s talk about winter gear. #SplurgeOrSave ? If you ask me, this is not a place to cut corners.
*DO have appropriate coats or jackets for different temperatures and weather conditions
*DO look at reviews before you buy
*DON’T skip out on having gloves, a tuque, and a scarf, for when the weather merits it. Oh and good winter boots!
*DO consider buying lightly used preloved, just be cautious about the authenticity of brands. It’s especially worth it for kids outerwear, since it is outgrown fast.
We need an outer shell 3 out of 4 seasons of the year, so your money is well spent on proper outerwear: save on your summer clothing instead ✅
If you consider the longevity of a good winter coat, you might be surprised to calculate that the cost per wear is quite low. Same could be said for my babytula baby carrier 😅

🥾 A FAMILY WALK ON ILKLEY MOOR 🥾 Head to the Muddy Boots Mummy website to see our latest walk on Ilkley Moor! We did an approximate 4km circular walk from White Wells to the Cow and Calf - over the crags on the way there and below them on the way back via Ilkley Tarn. It was steep in places and will be slippy at the moment- so save this post if you want to try it on a brighter weekend! As a warning Ilkley Moor has a gazillion little tracks all over so you might never actually know if you’re on the right one 🤦♀️ a good sense of direction is essential!!
And as a little glimpse of insta vs reality- swipe to see the first 29 minutes of the walk. James crying because we didn’t IMMEDIATELY stop to have his packed lunch 😂😂

This is a quick #wearthemwednesday post to shout about how much we love our Tula Preschool carrier.
Our 4 year old Finnlay is very active and runs around A LOT... But sometimes he needs to know he can be close to us too. This is a pic from a couple of weeks ago, he was pretty tired and struggling emotionally. He's also quite heavy and I struggle to carry him for too long in my arms. So I'm really pleased we invested in this carrier. It took him from sad, tired and struggling with his emotions, to happy and cuddly. He just needed to know we would pick him up (like we do with Kai).
Who else has a Tula or other Babipur Preschool carrier? Why do you use it? What sort of difference does it make to you?

Yesterday we saw Florence’s speech and language therapist. It turns out we haven’t seen her for over a year 😱. The past year seems some what of a blur so I was quite surprised! She’s very lovely, but I understand Florence isn’t the most straight forward patient!
Today at Playskill I was chatting about Florence with the SLT there and it made me realise how engaged and ‘knowing’ of Florence she is… and therefore able to give great advice & ideas. That’s a relationship that’s built over weekly sessions. That provision simply isnt available on the nhs, they are so stretched… so we feel very greatful for playskill_1 sessions!
Tomorrow we are at GOSH, checking her cochlear implant infection again. Really hoping everyone is happy with how it’s all looking!
Photos from last month. Seems hard to take photos every day, my mind is feeling scrambled. But, this was a wonderful walk, with Florence on my husbands back. She started getting frustrated towards the end, so my wonderful Freddie, got her a big leaf to carry and she loved it. 🍃 ❤️

W ramach wywiadu dla ladnebebe by kkaraim (link w bio), zostałam poproszona o przetestowanie nosidła babytula . Takie testy, które w 100% trafiają w moje potrzeby i gusta, mogę robić codziennie.
Pierwsze przymiarki nosidła wykonaliśmy w Sopocie (było zimno, wiało, wszyscy nam szczerze współczuli pierwszego urlopu z Heleną, ale niestety dla nas nie ma złej pogody 🤷🏻♀️💃🏻). Helena była jeszcze ciut za mała, ale grube ubranie wypełniło nosidło przy pupie.
Po domu wciąż nosimy się w chuście, ale na zewnątrz tulimy się w nosidle. Bo to sztos-nosidło!
To seria nosideł Tula Hemp wykonanych z mieszanki tkaniny konopnej (najbardziej wytrzymałej!) oraz organicznej bawełny – miks, który daje niezrównaną miękkość i regulację temperatury.
I mając awersję to wszelkich wzorzystych tkanin - mamy je w pięknym, gładkim kolorze.

O plusih nošenja čivkajo že ptički na drevesih, zato samo to: dete, roke in hrbtenica vam bodo hvaležni🙌🏼
Sama sem uporabljala nosilke: Mei Tai, Ergobaby Cool Air Omni 360 in Adapt ter Aura Wrap, najbolj pa sem zadovoljna z nosilkami babytulaslovenija babytula 💫 Večja dva sta se kasneje nosila v Tuli Toddler, naš najmlajši pa uživa v Tuli Half Buckle😍

A Maternidade trouxe-me uma dura consciência:
Eu estava habituada a fazer tudo a minha maneira, da forma como eu achava que era a mais correcta.
Não havia espaço para o desejo do outro e eu não tinha essa noção.
Talvez por isto o pós-parto do Vasco tenha sido tão difícil.
Um bebê traz-nos o convite de ver para além de nós.
Eu lutei muito pelo recuperar do "à minha maneira". Era mais feliz antes de ser mãe?
Não, não era. Tinha muito medo e achava de forma enganada que se controlasse tudo estaria mais segura.
Medo de quê?
Da escassez emocional, de não ser capaz, de não ter o que dar ao outro, de ser rejeitada.
O Jaime trouxe-me a clareza e o convite: como posso criar um espaço onde vários desejos podem coexistir e que seja bom para todos nós?
Bem, babywearing de qualidade ajuda concerteza mas acima de tudo a procura de um altruísmo e o resgatar de uma capacidade inata de acompanhar e amar o outro.

Víkend v Krušných horách.🌲
Vytáhli jsme našeho prvorozeného poprvé přes noc mimo domov.🤗 Zavítali jsme k Adél ségře na chatu a prošli jsme si celou Ježíškovu cestu. Na to že je to stezka dělaná pro děti, tak ceníme každé dítě, které ji ujde, protože 13 kilometrů není vůbec málo 🙈😃.
Druhý den jsme si dali pohodovější trasu a prošli si Božídarské rašeliniště. Poprvé jsme mohli odzkoušet naše nové nosítko od babytula a sedí nám skvěle. 😍
Co vy? Už jste někdy šli Ježíškovu cestu? 😊
Nebo máte jinou oblíbenou stezku/místo v Krušných horách? 😜

KANTAMINEN🥑
Niin luonnollista ja mukavaa. Silti ehkä vain osalle tuttu juttu. Mulle kantaminen tuli tutuksi jo ennen Amelian syntymää. Tiesin nimittäin että minua kannettiin lapsena jonkin verran. Tietoni kantamisesta eivät kuitenkaan olleet tätä päivää ja käytinkin vanhaa kantoreppua jossa minua oli vuonna -99 kannettu. Reppu painoi hartioita, selkää ja puristi. Amelian asento ei ollut ergonominen.
Koska kuitenkin pidin kantamisesta (kaikesta huolimatta) päätin että ostetaan vähän uudempi reppu. Päädyin babybjörnin reppuun joka maksoi sen 200€. Syy miksi päädyin siihen oli se, että ajattelin tästä merkistä hyvää. Loistava sitteri, hyvät potat ja oheis tarvikkeet! Näin se ei Kuitenkaan ole kaikkien tuotteiden osalta....Johtavat kantoreppu merkit sylitellen veeran mukaan ovat Tula (etenkin free to grow) ja wompatin reput. Ja ero on kuin yöllä ja päivällä. Babybjörnin reppu painoi (ei yhtä pahasti kuin heidän retro mallinsa) ja oli jäykkä yllä. Kantaminen ei ikinä saanut sysäystä eteenpäin sillä fiilis oli niin epämukava! Siispä ameliaa ei juuri ole kannettu! Näin jälkikäteen se harmittaa suuresti...

Amella on ollut nyt tosi kova "syli" kausi. Ja tä kantaminen auttaa siihen superisti! Voin ottaa amen kantoon ja puuhastella tai tosiaan antaa läheisyyttä lenkin merkein. Suosittelen lämpimästi ihan jokaiselle tätä! Kantaa voit repulla tai liinalla. Mulle reppu on se juttu sillä sitomis jutut ei oikein innosta ja pakko sanoa että se tuntuu myös vähän hippi meiningiltä mikä on vaan niiiiin kaukana minusta😅 tä repulla kantaminen on iisiä ja sopii tälläselle tavis Mamalle hyvin!🤍

Ik hoor mezelf nog zeggen: wedden we kopen dit weer voor Jan joker, want onze andere twee moesten er niks van weten die vonden het vreselijk! En nu loop ik er de hele dag mee in huis, ik stofzuig ermee, ruim de vaatwasser uit en in en loop 80 rondjes per dag met haar tegen mij aan. Ik vind het heerlijk, maar soms ook mega vermoeiend. En niet omdat ik haar vervelend vind, maar omdat ze soms niet de rust op een andere manier kan vinden. Vooral met deze temperaturen staat het zweet op plekken waarvan ik niet eens wist dat het kon, maar goed als het haar rust en geborgenheid geeft doe ik het en er komt straks een tijd dat ik het ga missen.
De avonden zijn vaak onrustig en heeft ze een vast huil uurtje of beter gezegd ruim twee uur. Inmiddels ben ik er op ingesteld en kan ik voor mijzelf een knop omzetten en het maar gewoon accepteren zoals het is, want het is voor haar ook niet leuk. Neemt niet weg dat ik het soms erg slopend vind, maar het is niet voor altijd denk ik dan maar.. Ik ben dol op baby’s en ik vind dit zo een geweldige tijd, maar je bent ook enorm zoekende soms naar waar iets vandaan komt en wat je er tegen kan doen.

maanden in mijn buik💜

Zomaar even spontaan de deur uit gaan zit er even niet meer in met een newborn ik neem nog net mijn halve woning niet mee😅En ondanks dat vergeet ik nog de helft. Iets met het moeder brein wat mij dagelijks in de steek laat. Vind het oprecht heerlijk om met de kids dit soort uitjes te doen, want ze maken elkaar dan niet meer af, maar spelen juist lief samen en ik kan daar dan vervolgens zielsgelukkig van worden! Ik kan niet wachten tot onze kleinste spruit straks ook rond loopt tussen haar broer en zus, maar voor nu nog lekker hangen bij mama en genieten van zo een
inimini mensje💛ps even een shoutout naar mijn schoonzus die geweldige foto’s heeft geschoten. Thank God heeft Levent dit niet hoeven doen😅

Nice walk with a sleepy toddler in tow today 😍 I love having Charlie in a carrier, he’s comfy enough to go to sleep and I can walk anywhere I want. We can go through fields, down lanes and through the woods and I don’t have to worry about getting a buggy through 😊

Nos encanta ver a nuestrxs clientes disfrutando con sus peques! 🥰
Rachel nos envió estas fotos de su primer paseo con Dylan 👶 en su portabebés babytula y estamos super contentas. Al parecer Dylan se acurrucó en el pecho de su madre y durmió todo el paseo 🐥.

Week 1 in France completed - what a blast! So blessed.
Here’s a little insight into how Florence likes to holiday. We’ve been away with friends and their children and it’s been so SO amazing to see them interacting with Florence, and her interacting with them. 6 children (not including Florence), all learning a little sign language here and there - the most remembered sign being ‘cake’!
We are now into week 2 of our holiday, at centre parcs in France. Florence was quite overwhelmed on the first day we arrived… but since finding the pirate ship at the swimming centre and making mummy or daddy walk up and down the steps a million times a day with her, she’s much happier!
Check out those warrior scars on her hips - looking great!! No real luck with her wearing her glasses yet! Oh and had to get evidence of her first nap on me in over a year 🥰
